Design Architects, Project Architects & Draftspeople

The Buchan Group’s Melbourne Office is inviting applications from Design Architects, Project Architects and Draftspeople to work in our busy commercial practice.  You would be working on one of a number of exciting, high profile, new design commissions both within Australia and in the Middle East region. These projects range from small and medium-sized to large scale, Residential, Retail and Hospitality projects.

We aim to fill a number of positions over the coming weeks and are therefore seeking fresh, talented, architectural professionals. Each successful applicant may join the respective project teams, with mutual agreement on the right project for the applicant. We envisage that the successful applicants may aspire to a career path with The Buchan Group, as successful professionals in this busy practice.

Applicants should possess strong conceptual and master planning and/or documentation skills and should enjoy the challenges of working in a busy team-based design environment.

Interior Designers

The Melbourne Interior Design Group works as an integral part of The Buchan Group Melbourne on large scale architectural and interior design commissions, as well as undertaking stand-alone interiors projects.

The Melbourne Office is seeking applications from experienced Interior Designers with a substantial track record onlarge scale residential, retail, entertainment and hospitality projects in the following areas:

• Concept development
• Design development
• Documentation
• Project planning
• Team management

Interior Designers undertake all aspects of the front end design and conceptualization processes.  Interior Designers work in liaison with architectural staff, graphic designers and 3D visualization staff in offering an all-encompassing, seamless service to our clients.

To be successful in the role applicants must have excellent conceptual skills, be able to communicate within a professional working environment and a proven employment history. CADD experience is also desirable.
