The design for the redevelopment of this landmark retail centre in the Brisbane CBD introduces two parallel malls that visually reconnect Queen and Elizabeth Streets. A series of internal secondary malls join these primary links, creating distinctive precincts, while the main feature mall cuts a void through the building, exposing the retail levels.
The Buchan Group provided architecture, retail planning, interior design and environmental graphic design; the facade architects were Studio 505.
Stage 1 of Wintergarden was open in 2011 and Stage 2 will be fully complete in early May 2012.
