Melbourne projects that speak to the power of collective, adaptive and responsive design will be open to the public during Open House Melbourne in July. This year’s theme ‘Collective City’ asks how we will reinvent, re-purpose and adapt our city to live better together.
On Saturday 29 July Buchan will open the doors to the historic Mail Exchange Building in Melbourne.
As lead architects behind the building’s restoration works, the Buchan team will take visitors on a guided tour to discover the evolution of the building from its past as a central infrastructure for mail in Victoria to its current iteration as a multi-level commercial space for creative studios and co-working.
Tours will begin at 10:30am and commence every half hour. The last tour departs at 12.30pm. Tour groups will include up to 15 people.
The 2023 OHM program features more than 180 events including walking tours, exhibitions, workshops and talks.
