Bringing a best in class entertainment experience to Toowoomba, the upcoming expansion of Events Cinemas at Grand Central Shopping Centre will enhance the existing Food and Entertainment precinct and bolster the theatres existing capacity with a new V-Max Cinema which will seat close to 500.
Located on a prominent corner of the site, the new structure complements the existing retail centre and cinema offering whilst maintaining its own distinct identity with a striking façade inspired by a pixelated interpretation of the centre and its surrounding environment; check out the below video to follow our façade design methodology in more detail.
Internal upgrades to the existing cinema – including the foyer, entry lobby and candy bar – will be completed later this year, alongside a new escalator connection linking the cinema with adjacent food and entertainment precincts which will facilitate greater customer circulation around the centre.
The expansion continues Buchan’s longstanding involvement in the redevelopment of Grand Central Shopping Centre which has taken place alongside QICGRE for over 20 years.
