Recently ranking in the top 10 per cent of attractions worldwide by Tripadvisor, the Qantas Founders Museum has captivated patrons with the launch of their Luminescent Longreach sound and light show.
The immersive experience explores the origins of the airline and celebrates the beauty of aircraft using 3D animation and illustration projected onto iconic Qantas aircraft. Buchan worked closely with the Museum to develop the light show narrative, which explores the story of how the airline’s founders came to meet right through to the challenges and triumphs of the present day.
Direction, production design, curation, 3D modelling, animation, illustration, storyboarding, scriptwriting, projection mapping, and sound design services round out the collaborative design processes undertaken to create the show.
