Following a soft launch in September, Raffles City Chongqing officially opened its doors on Tuesday with celebrations marked by a lighting ceremony which saw six of its towers illuminated with an array of vibrant colours and patterns.
The development has already proven popular with shoppers, welcoming between 350,000 – 400,000 people daily during the weekend to its five-level retail podium.
Buchan’s Vincent Chi, Jane Hu and Victor Zarnowski attended the launch and were given a private tour of “The Crystal”, a glass viewing gallery expected to open in early 2020 designed by Safdie Architects.
Buchan provided retail planning and interior design services for the retail podium from its concept to completion, working in close collaboration with Safdie Architects.
