Sydney’s heritage reimagined – the South Eveleigh Locomotive Workshop continues to transform from Industrial-era precinct into an immersive hybrid destination with the site’s history being an intrinsic part of the experience.
Buchan has been engaged by Mirvac and working in association with Sissons Architects and heritage consultants Curio Projects to reimagine the historic Locomotive Workshop, leveraging the design studio’s experience in architecture, interior design, adaptive-reuse and heritage interpretation.
The new South Eveleigh precinct will deliver a broad scope of amenity to the community, enrich the neighbourhood, draw visitors to the area, preserve heritage and interpret the site’s amazing stories in an engaging and authentic way.
The Locomotive Workshop is partially opening in April with a full opening later in 2021.
