James Bayer

Senior Associate / Brisbane

James was born in a family of architects. He was fascinated by the built form drawings that his father produced and, his appreciation for the craft led him to architecture.

Recognising how successful retail spaces are driven by traffic and visibility, James enjoys the fusion of brand identity and placemaking within his work. He most enjoys the challenge to drive traffic toward a store, give it good visibility and access, and provide a strong sense of place and brand identity.

“One of the most rewarding aspects of being a retail architectural project manager is the satisfaction of leading a team through a project - from idea to completion. If you develop a holistic approach to managing both a project and a team, being a leader is not only rewarding personally, but also for the client as they get the best possible outcome.”
