Buchan’s architectural design for Goodstart Early Learning sits on the first floor of the extended Pacific Epping Shopping Centre and incorporates five education rooms from nursery through to kindergarten.
The sensory and play based design utilises the ‘Early Years Learning Framework’, providing a safe, colourful and stimulating learning environment. The extensive interior design solution for the centre extends from the materials and colour palette to the dedicated onsite commercial kitchen, bespoke joinery, furniture and fittings.
Each education room has full floor to ceiling glazing with level access doors providing direct entry to the landscape designed outdoor play area. Raised planters for vegetable gardens and mature trees allow for an interactive and sensory educational experience, while grass mounds, integrated sand pits, mud kitchen and dry river creek provide the perfect environment for informal play.
