With a design informed by community engagement, Tonsley will provide locals with a retail and mixed-use experience which both acknowledges its significant history and celebrates an innovative green future ahead. Moving away from the traditional enclosed mall, the redevelopment will feature tree-lined walkways and unique dining experiences, taking advantage of Adelaide’s mild climate and increasing public access through the site.
The character of the Main Assembly Building (MAB) has been considered throughout the design, creating a harmonious balance of old and new. Similarly, the existing Boiler House Brewery is complemented by a food and beverage and festive retail offering that opens onto the vibrant town square and extension of the western plaza.
