As Chief Executive Officer of Buchan, Stephen combines more than 30 years in leadership and organisation blueprint defining roles, with his grounding in architecture and design thinking, to bring a renewed focus to the design studio’s 130-year legacy.
Stephen is responsible for nurturing the future direction of Buchan, its people and its practice, and how this translates to the design of places and spaces that enrich the experience of the individual and the community.
Core to this is bringing together and amplifying the diverse expertise of Buchan, across sectors and borders, to deliver exceptional projects for clients that span Architecture, Masterplanning, Interiors and Brand Experience.
At the same time, Stephen is focused on unifying and expanding Buchan’s global presence through integrated alliances, including with Nikken Sekkei, to provide clients with access to unprecedented experience and strategic guidance of the world’s leading architects and urban designers.
